Guess who’s officially on holidays?! This girl, that’s who!

I’ve been lucky enough to have taken a few short trips over the last several months. Not long ago, I went to New York to visit an old friend, and I visited a different friend in Prince Edward Island this summer.

What I haven’t done in ages is take significant vacation time to relax.

Relaxing (and shopping) is what I’ll be doing for the next couple of weeks, since I’m down in Florida. It’s really nice to see actual, real life sunshine! It’s been overcast and dreary in Toronto for what feels like weeks now, which you can see in these photos.

In my opinion, the only good thing about the gloomy winters is the opportunity to bundle up in warm weather accessories…like my new favourite blanket scarf.

There’s a reason everyone is obsessed with these blanket scarves.

    I am obsessed with big scarves too, they are my fave to keep me warm at the moment! Hope you have a lovely trip, Florida will be so lovely! I have a couple weeks off too but I am planning on just staying round England and relaxing 🙂 x

    My vacation starts on Tuesday and while we will be traveling for the first half, the second half will be spent relaxing. I cannot wait. I totally feel you on being ready for that part. So glad you are getting to enjoy some downtime! Love this look on you.

    Lucky you!! I have to go into work on Monday and Tuesday before I’m done 🙁
    Florida sounds exciting! Where will you be? I’ve been to Miami beach and that was a blast and a half!
    And I really like the colors of this outfit – it’s very wintery but I really like that you didn’t go the black/gray route that everyone does (I’m totally guilty of this myself). And who doesn’t love a great blanket scarf? Especially a chic one like yours!

      I had to take these days as holiday time. My office is open until lunch time on Christmas eve!! No thank you!

      I’m on the other side of Florida, about an hour south of Tampa. It’s definitely less exciting around here, but there’s sunshine, a pool and plenty of shopping, which is all I need 🙂

      This was pre-florida. Thankfully, even on the dreary days here, I don’t need to wear THAT many layers!
