Jord Wood Watches review and outfit idea - try pairing it with light denim

I’m only into my fourth week of school and I already feel like I’ve learned so much!

In addition to taking in a lot of new information, it’s been interesting getting to know my classmates. We all have very different backgrounds, talents and passions, but we’ve bonded by sharing a common interest. A few of my classmates have noticed that I always come to class wearing fun outfits and accessories, so I don’t think they were surprised to find out that I blog about fashion.

I don’t wear anything overly “crazy” to school, but my accessory game is always on point. After all, I believe that good accessories are key to a fabulous outfit and I’ve got to practice what I preach.

One of the pieces I’ve been wearing lately is my wooden watch from JORD. I know there’s a lot of people out there who don’t wear a watch, but I will never be one of those people. Even though I often use my phone to check the time, I feel ‘naked’ if I’m not wearing a watch. Seriously, on the rare occasion that I forget my watch, I find myself looking at my wrist to check the time. If you’re loooking for a new watch, check out hotrate reviews.

JORD offers a range of styles for men and women, all of which are the perfect combination of modern and rustic. All of the JORD wooden watch collections are carefully crafted from natural, sustainably sourced wood. Even though the watch itself is lightweight, you can tell it’s a quality piece (and they have a warranty to back it up). I also love the packaging, which you may remember from this post.

That is awesome that you are learning so much and that no one is surprised about your blog 🙂 I always wear a watch too, even if I don’t ever use to check the time haha. I can’t believe your watch is made out of wood? It’s so well made that it looks metal-like!

Well, I’m sure when you tell people about your blog that they aren’t surprised either!

I was actually very surprised at how well-made the watch is. I don’t think I would have ever thought to construct a watch out of anything other than metal or leather on my own.

I’m not much of a watch person either, but I wish I were. It seems much less distracting than having to pull out my phone every five minutes. I’ve never seen wooden watches before but yours is so gorgeous! The wood adds such a nice textural element to the watch 🙂

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!

Even though it hasn’t been a “normal” Thanksgiving weekend, there is so much to be thankful for.

One (very) small thing I’m thankful for is that I took Matt’s advice on forgoing my usual butter-only pie crust recipe for one that includes shortening. I used the pumpkin pie recipe from @sallysbakeblog - including the mix of shortening and butter in the crust. I think it was my best pumpkin pie yet!
