Am I the only one who’s been feeling incredibly uninspired by their clothing these days?
Now that we’re getting towards the end of the season, I’m so darn sick of almost everything in my closet! It’s not that I don’t love a lot of the pieces in my closet; because I do. It’s just that I get tired of wearing and re-wearing the same types of outfits and dressing for the same type of weather. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that I’m not alone in feeling this way. I feel this way every year at this point in the season.
With the above average temperatures and new arrivals filling the stores, it’s tempting to switch out the heavy knits for off-the-shoulder tops and cropped jeans. Sadly, I’m not heading anywhere tropical, so I’ve been (trying) to stay away from the new arrivals. I hate buying things and having them sit in my closet. For now, I’m trying to work with what I have.
One of the pieces that I’ve been wearing on repeat (other than this Free People Cardigan), is my faux fur scarf. And sorry – it’s no longer available (but this faux fur scarf from Abercrombie is similar).
My faux fur scarf is from Aerie, and I bought it over Christmas. Funny enough, when I first saw it in-store, I told myself that I didn’t “need” it. Clearly, I was wrong, because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Luckily, when I went back a few days later, they had one left and it came home with me. Thank goodness, because I’ve worn it a ton!
What are your tips for staying inspired? I’d love to hear them!
