As much as I love to deny that fall is imminent, I don’t think we can be in denial now that the Labour Day is here.
This is always viewed as the “unofficial” end of summer around here, and I don’t like that one bit.
Come Tuesday, the kids will be back in school and traffic will be back to it’s usual chaotic nature. Leaves have begun to change colour. Softball season is winding down. Nights are cooler. The sun isn’t as strong. Oh. And Pumpkin Spice lattes are back. This always brings me such sadness AND happiness (since they’re awesome).
That’s the thing. I love fall, I really do.
It’s just, summer is my favourite season, and I hate that fall leads to winter so quickly.
Fall fashion is by far the best as far as I’m concerned, but all week, I’ve been trying to get one last wear out of the super summery pieces I own, since after Labour Day, I like to transition a little bit more into fall. Of course, I’ve already started to wear some more transitional pieces. It’s a gradual process!
I know the whole “no white after Labour Day” concept is a bit cliche, but I wanted to wear my white boyfriend shorts one last time before putting them away for several months.
Are you already rocking fall clothes, or have you been extra summery in the past week to get it all in?
Happy Labour Day!
