Another weekend has come and gone. That went fast, didn’t it?
My weekend was jam packed and included two trips to Target. I figure now is the time to stock up on the essentials. Apparently, everyone else had the same plan, since the stores were packed. Why does it take an imminent closure to get shoppers into the store?
It’s been a few days since the devastating news of their closure in Canada was announced, but I’m still upset. Only those who share my love for Target understand this feeling. I’ve been reading articles about Target closing and found a really interesting article about why they failed in Canada. While I don’t agree with all of the points the author makes, overall, it’s an informative article.
The loss of Target means I’ll want to drive down to the US more often. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this desire, because a lot of clothing stores have expanded into the Canadian market in the last few years. It’s been great having so many of my favourite stores more easily accessible, like LOFT. Petite length pants are a game changer for a shortie like me, but I also love their sweaters.
I recently came across a unique, longer length pullover sweater at LOFT, with a two-tone design. Even though it’s a cold weather weight, it reminds me of summer. I thought it would be fun to pair it with white jeans and really play up summer colours in the winter. I accessorized the look with my fur vest and over the knee boots, and had myself a winter outfit.
What I’m Wearing:
Faux Fur Vest – Zara (Similar)
Sweater – LOFT (Similar)
Jeans – Gap (Similar)
Necklace –Crafts and Love (Same)
Boots – Steve Madden (Same)
Purse – Gap (Similar)
