Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a really great weekend and a nice Mother’s Day.
My weekend was pretty great, but I had a few ‘moments’ that weren’t quite my finest. Allow me to explain.
I make homemade granola every couple of weeks, and went out on Saturday to go buy my ingredients. With Mother’s Day on Sunday, I was supposed to pick up a card when I was out. No problem, right?!
Wrong.
When I got home, my dad was outside, and as I pulled into my driveway, he asked me if I got the card. Oops. I had completely forgotten the card, so as quickly as I got home, I had to go back out to pick up the card.
Then on Sunday, I wanted to go to the gym in the afternoon, as I often do on Sundays. I got in the car to start it, and realized it wouldn’t start. My car is new and I only got around to finding the best cheapย auto insurance cover the other day so I’m still figuring out how to use it. Naturally, as soon as I let someone else try, it started without any issue.
Once the car was running, I drove to the gym. I was in the parking lot and ready to go inside when I realized I forgot my running shoes at home. FAIL!!! I literally had to drive home, get the shoes and go back to the gym. It would have seemed like the gym wasn’t in the cards that day, but I still went and had a really good workout.
PS- I’ve been keeping track of my workouts in this book and find that it’s really helpful!
I decided to make it an extra good workout, because with the unseasonable cold snap we’ve had the last couple of days, I wasn’t sure if that night’s softball game was going to get cancelled. It seemed like that was a good possibility, with the bursts of hail and snow we had on and off that afternoon.
It turns out, they don’t cancel games because of cold temperatures, so we ended up playing. Here’s a first – It actually snowed during a part of the game. I can assure you, it was highly unpleasant.
It’s crazy to think that the other day, I wore this:
Top: Anthropologie; Jeans: Zara; Scarf: American Eagle; Sandals: UGG
And last night, I had to layer like crazy! At first, I thought it would be okay to wear a long sleeved t-shirt, but at the last minute, I decided that I needed a few more layers. It was the first time I played in a down vest and toque, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Oh well, even though it wasn’t the smoothest weekend on all fronts, I still enjoyed myself. After all, this little eskimo won the game!
Hope you all have a great week ๐

I’m so bad at remembering things too—I’ll go from my room to the living room and somehow lose track of my phone and laptop all in one. Do you set goals for yourself in your notepad? Btw, I love your space invaders shirt!! #nerds

I always forgot things from room to room.
I don’t set goals in the notebook, though that’s probably a good idea. I use it to track what weight I should be using and see my progress.
Glad you like the shirt, though I wish I could take credit for being that witty.
Thanks for reading, I hope you’ll follow back ๐
