Because Sunglasses Always Make You Look Cool

Summer outfit with the weekend sunglasses from main + central from clearly contacts

It’s no secret that I love accessories. The addition of a chic belt, scarf, or hat can instantly elevate the simplest of outfits.

But – what accessory do I wear the most? Glasses.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in grade 9. That means I’ve been wearing glasses for more than half of my life! At this point, I can’t imagine life without them. That being said, I vividly remember how impressed I was when I put on my first pair of prescription frames. I couldn’t believe how clear everything looked – including the chalkboard at school. Who knew that it wasn’t normal to have to squint to see the board?

Since then, I’ve gone through many pairs of glasses and contacts. Thankfully, I really enjoy wearing (and shopping for) glasses!

This is why I’m so excited to partner with Clearly as one of their newest Clearly Ambassadors. I discovered the brand about a year ago and have been wearing their frames ever since. The glasses I’m wearing in this post are still one of my favourite pairs! As a Clearly Ambassador, I’ll be sharing a number of different ways to incorporate their eyewear into my everyday style.

Clearly carries a number of exclusive brands, including the newest addition, Main + Central. The Main + Central collection is proudly eco-conscious, as all of the frames are made from biodegradable acetate that can be returned and recycled. The collection features 6 different styles, all of which are available in 3 sizes and 4 popular colours. Trust me – there’s something for everyone! At only $50 for the frames, they’re also very affordable. Each style is named after one of the days of the week, which is cheeky and fun! I recently ordered the “Wednesday” frames in grey, which you’ve seen me rocking on Instagram before.

As you can imagine, over the years, I’ve accumulated quite the collection of glasses. Depending on my mood and my outfit, I like switch up my glasses quite often. Despite my large collection, it wasn’t until recently that I added a pair of prescription sunglasses!

Thankfully, Clearly offered to hook me up with a pair of prescription sunglasses from the Main + Central collection. Thats right – you can add sun or digital protection to any of the Main + Central frames! WAHOO!

I ordered the Weekend frames, because I love the look of oversized sunglasses. In fact, I love them so much, that I’ve been wearing them daily! Naturally, my new Main + Central sunglasses and straw hat felt like the perfect accessories to spruce up this simple summer outfit.

Yesterday was moving day!!! After so many months o Yesterday was moving day!!!
After so many months of waiting, we finally said goodbye to our little Toronto rental and moved to our new home in Newmarket!

The next week or so will be a state of chaos, as the house isn’t exaaaaaaactly ready yet, but that’s okay - we’re here! 🥰

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!

I’m finishing up the last of the gifting projects and then it’s onto baking cookies! 💁🏼‍♀️

I *think* I know what I’ll be baking...but I’m having a tough time committing 🤪
