Happy Weekend!!
Canadian readers, I hope you’re enjoying the long weekend so far. I must say, I’m quite happy that I don’t have to get up early for work tomorrow.
I decided to take some photos of my outfit the other day, before I went out for dinner. It was one of those weird days where it was sunny one minute and pouring rain the next, so I took these pictures inside. My friend and I went for a delicious sushi feast and planned to go see my other friend’s new apartment afterwards. She’s wanted to move apartment for a while now, as after many years in her old accommodation, she was starting to outgrow her space. There was nothing wrong with it other than she just needed a bigger space.
I remember seeing her go through the apartment hunting process. Furthermore, she was unsure whether she should settle here or in California, because she loved that place and she at one point was also looking for Furnished monthly rentals in WEHO, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Unfortunately, she was forced to drop the idea because of personal reasons. Hunting for apartments caused a lot of stress for her because she just couldn’t find one that she could see herself in. And I think that is important when it comes to moving. You have to feel comfortable, as well as seeing a future for yourself there. I think this is why it took her a bit longer because she wanted to make sure it felt right. And just when she felt like giving up, it happened. She called me up on the phone and told me that she had found the apartment of her dreams. So, all she needed to do then was to get in touch with a professional move management consultant who would be able to help her when it came to moving because this can be stressful enough as it is too. They are definitely experts in their craft, and I have never seen someone go through such an easy move. So, since we were in the area, we spontaneously decided to see if she was in because we both wanted to see it.
We stupidly didn’t call until we got there and found out her and her boyfriend went for dinner. We met them at the restaurant, and sat through another dinner. We were too stuffed to feast on anything at this second dinner, but enjoyed a margarita instead!
It was a nice way to kick off the long weekend, but as we enter August, I start to question myself when I go to choose something extremely bright and summery to wear. I know it’s ridiculous, because it’s clearly still midsummer, but once the stores start to feature the fall colours, I feel out of season in my summer brights. That said, I still wear my summery clothes, because I know that soon enough, they’ll actually be out of season.
One of my favourite summer sweaters is this bright blue wrap cardigan that I bought a few years back. I used to work at a clothing store that primarily sold high end denim, but we had some really nice tops as well. This is definitely a ‘memorable’ piece, so I don’t wear it too much, because I never like to seem like an outfit repeater.

I have a serious addiction these days to statement necklaces. I recently got a few from some online shops that I’ll be featuring on the blog.

I really like that color scheme you used in your outfit, those colors looks really good with your skin 🙂 as much as I love cold weather and fall, sometimes I hate fall/winter clothing because I live in the tropic (Venezuela) so it’s always hot in here, and when the fall/winter collection arrives you cannot wear anything because the colors and the sweaters doesn’t go with this high temperatures. Hahaha sorry for my long comment. Loving your blog, I’m already following you 🙂

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I wish I lived in a place where it was hot all of the time. I do love sweaters, but the cold is awful.

I take advantage when I have a tan. Once fall rolls around, it’s back to being pasty white.
