Happy Thursday! Don’t you all just love short weeks? It seems like this one is flying by.
While I don’t have a traditional office job to go to, I’ve been very busy all week working on my web design portfolio site and projects for friends. It seems to be a lot more difficult to work on my own projects than for other people, since I have to provide designs and content for myself. I’m quickly learning that it’s quite a challenge to prepare the written copy for a website. I know what I want to say, and what types of services I want to offer, but I’m struggling with how to present that online. All and all, it’s still a work in progress!
Watch – c/o Jord (Same)
Since I’ve been spending a lot of time at my computer, my outfits this week have been pretty simple. I keep gravitating towards denim shorts (but hey – those days are numbered!) and my peep-toe booties. The temperatures have cooled down a little bit, so I’ve been able to add a cozy layer or two to my look.I find staying cozy is so much easier during the cold months, when all I wear are sweaters and cardigans (as you can see here and here). I’ve been living in this cozy cashmere shrug. It’s cute and adds the extra bit of warmth I need with shorts, but I’ll be wearing it all fall and winter long, too.
how to stay cozy on cool summer nights
If you’re anything like me and you feel the need to wear your summer clothes as long as possible, what can you do to stay warm? It’s all about the layers! Try throwing on a cashmere cardigan, bring along a hoodie, or tie a flannel button down around your waist. Staying cozy and warm when the temperatures fall just takes a little bit of extra planning.
Have you been layering up your summer pieces, or are you jumping right into your fall wardrobe?
