This week has certainly had its ups and downs. I touched on it a little bit in this post, but as you probably know, I’ve spent the last few weeks looking for a new job. Applying for jobs is not fun, but neither is going through the interview process. It’s an emotionally exhausting experience. One minute, it seems like there’s a plethora of promising opportunities….and the next, the world is handing you a bunch of big fat no’s. It’s hard not to let that weigh on you, despite everyone around me saying that I need to remain optimistic.
Since the weekend is here, I know there won’t be any updates on the job front. So, I’m eager to enjoy the weekend and focus on fun stuff, like summer fashion!
When you Google “spring summer 2018 fashion trends,” a lot of crazy stuff comes up. Anything from sequins to white suiting – it’s all there. I don’t know about you, but I certainly don’t own a white suit, nor do I plan to purchase one. There are so many other ways to rock the trends this season, without breaking the bank…and while keeping true to your own personal style.
Here’s 5 of the summer 2018 fashion trends that I’m loving and wearing:
Tiny Sunglasses – I know they are a little ridiculous (and I hated them at first), but I’ve grown to really like tiny sunglasses! They’re a lot of fun to wear, and there’s so many stores that are carrying cute options on the cheap.
Tassel Earrings – I’m not if you can tell by looking at my photos, but I have very small ears. Because they’re so small, I often struggle with large earrings. More often than not, they’re too heavy or overwhelming to wear…but I really love this trend! I found a great pair at Target, but again, you can find this style just about anywhere this season.
Mom Shorts – When I tried a pair of mom shorts on, I felt effortlessly cool. They have a nice high waist and aren’t too tight, so they feel great too.
Round Straw Bags – Probably the most obvious of the summer 2018 fashion trends, right? Round straw bags are everrrrrywhere this year! And that meant, I just had to have one 😉
Florals and Cute Prints – Okay, florals and cute prints are always in style…but I’m especially gravitating to fun prints this year. I bought the fruit-print top at Zara because I saw Emily wearing it…and I’m pretty sure at least a few people bought it when they saw me wearing it.
