Do you notice anything different about me since my last post?
That’s right – my hair grew!
After a lifetime of being self-conscious about my thin, fine hair, I’ve finally decided to give semi-permanent hair extensions a try. In the past, I tried clip-in extensions (first seen here – before I cut them), but they felt a bit much for me. About a year later, I decided to re-visit the clip-in extensions. I wore them to work a few times and in some of my outfit posts. Even though I love how those photos turned out, because my hair is so thin, the extensions hurt my scalp. I also had a very hard time covering them up.
Now I have semi-permanent hair extensions in, and I’m so happy with them! It took a few days to get used to the extensions, but I expected that to be the case. As you can imagine, I love the added length and volume I have with my new hair. While it takes significantly longer to blow dry and style my hair, the added effort is worth it to me. After all, having the semi-permanent hair extensions makes me feel significantly less self-conscious about how I look. To me, that’s worth the added time and cost. As far as price is concerned, while they weren’t cheap, they were a lot more affordable than I initially thought.
My biggest regret is that I didn’t look into hair extensions sooner. Oh- and if you’re curious to learn a bit more about what semi-permanent hair extensions are, this article explains everything. I also filmed a YouTube video about my experience, so if you’re curious, check it out!
And of course, if you don’t care about my hair, I’m sharing all of the outfit details down below.
