It’s Monday and it’s my first full week back at work, post-vacation. Sigh.
This week is spring break for many of the students in my area, so there’s a lot of people down south right now. Hey, at least the traffic is lighter!
One of the things I miss about being a student is the ample vacation time you get throughout the year. Vacations are so important for our mental and physical health, as well as our productivity at work. Most of us are stressed out and over-booked more than we’re not, so once in a while, it can really do the body good to escape all of that. It’s also been proven that job performance is higher after a vacation…assuming the pina colada hangover has worn off.
When I’m on vacation at a resort, my days consist of lounging on the beach, sipping a cold drink, and not much else. Some people would find that incredibly boring, but it’s my idea of the perfect spring break.
Oh, and as far as my spring break style is concerned, I’m all about the bright colours and floral prints. What about you?
