Simple is Best

As a chronic over-thinker, I often have to remind myself that simple is best.

Whenever I get dressed for any type of ‘occasion,’ I overthink my outfit, and feel as though nothing I put together is stylish enough. Why is that? Unfortunately, I don’t really have an answer to that question, but I know that a lot of us struggle with this same issue. The funny thing is, at the end of the day, the simplest outfits are almost always my favourite.

Take this outfit that I wore the other day. There’s nothing over-the-top about it, but I felt pretty darn awesome when I was wearing it. All I did was reach for a couple of casual layers, a great fitting pair of jeans and my go-to leather jacket. I loved the result because it’s simple, and a reflection of my typical style. I wasn’t trying to force anything…so it just worked!

The next time I experience self-doubt when I get dressed…I’m going to try and keep it simple. Maybe you should too!

I think a lot of bloggers feel pressure to look “perfect” and over-the-top sometimes but my favorite outfits are usually the most simple ones like this one! I love the layered look and your jacket is amazing! Also, great background! :]

After so many months of waiting, we finally said goodbye to our little Toronto rental and moved to our new home in Newmarket!

The next week or so will be a state of chaos, as the house isn’t exaaaaaaactly ready yet, but that’s okay - we’re here! 🥰

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!
