Happy New Year! I hope you had a great time ringing in 2015, whether that meant attending a fancy party, or a low-key night in.
My night was pretty low-key, which is exactly how I like it. I always feel like people put too much pressure on themselves to do something “big” on New Year’s, which is what I don’t like about the holiday.
Even though I say I don’t like to make a big deal about New Year’s, I struggled to put an outfit together. Don’t ask why, but I still manage to feel that added pressure. Sequins made an appearance, so I think I did okay! It was important to keep warm too, since I’m home from Florida (and extra grumpy about how cold it is here).
When I was in Florida, I enjoyed every second of the warm weather and made sure to dress accordingly. I made sure to pack a couple of dresses, since they’re perfect for travel. Fun, stylish, and easy to wear? Yes, please!
This shift dress was a last-minute buy before a wedding back in the fall, and it’s turned into one of my go-to pieces! I’m sure you’ll be seeing this dress again…
What I’m Wearing:
Dress – Forever 21 (Same)
Moto Jacket – LOFT (Similar)
Booties – Arturo Chiang via Hudson’s Bay (Similar)
Necklace – Stella & Dot (Same)
Purse – Roots (Same)
