Today I realized that I’m really into vests this year.

I know in this post, I mentioned that I’m really into hats right now too. And yes, I am. I’m just a girl who gets drawn many different ways.

I went to the mall today, with no intention to actually buy anything. Let’s be honest, we all know I can’t leave the Gap without at least one thing, but I was trying to be on good behaviour. I went into Danier Leather and I saw the sales girl wearing this really awesome leather motorcycle vest. My intention was to avoid trying it on… but I can be weak. After trying it on, I was in love. It was such a cool vest, totally different than anything I own, and I was able to think of a few outfits that I could make with it.

Alas, I didn’t buy the vest, but clearly, I’m still thinking about it. I will continue to be strong. Or at least, try to be.

The good news is that I already have a couple of vests in my wardrobe. I got a denim vest a little while back, and have been getting some good use out of it. I love the idea of pairing a denim vest with a maxi skirt or dress, which is what I did the other day.





I forgot I had my sunglasses on the entire time.

      You should definitely wear it! Anything from skirts to dresses to coloured jeans. I hope you get some good wear out of the vest too!

    I can’t stop wearing my vest these past few weeks, so it’s safe to say that it’s a yes from me. My vest is white too, but it’s a DIY project from an old denim jacket. The one you have your eye on is so chic/edgy!

    I tend to wear jean jackets with sundresses/skirts, I never thought of a jean jacket but that makes perfect sense!

      I love jackets with sundresses, so having this means I can wear both and not look like I’m wearing the same thing ALL of the time.

      I wasn’t sure about the skirt at first either because I’m so short, but I just went for it because I wanted to get in on the trend. I’ve worn it a lot, so it was a good choice!

      The price isn’t ever too high at Gap because they always have a sale. I got it for 30%, so it wasn’t bad at all.

      Vests are the best way to layer in the warmer months without completely roasting in the heat AND still work well when it’s -10 C
