As you can imagine, I need to be more “selective” when I’m shopping these days, since my income has become much more limited. While other people in my situation would probably refrain from shopping, that just isn’t me! Everything in moderation, right? 😉
I strongly believe that while it’s nice to splurge on certain items (I happen to love premium denim), you really don’t need to spend a lot of money to keep your wardrobe fresh and trendy. It’s a matter of being smart when you shop, keeping a look out for sales, and knowing what trends you’d like to try out.
I recently bought a pair of printed, slouchy, soft pants at Old Navy for a whopping $19. I paired the pants with a 6 year old cardigan I still love to bits, and some other older pieces. The pants have completely transformed the look of the other pieces, so I was able to justify the purchase.
The struggle for me was buying only one pair…
