When you love ponchos because they resemble a wearable blanket

Ever since I bought my first poncho last winter, I’ve been slowly building my collection. When I’m cold, all I ever want to do is stay bundled up in a blanket, so to whoever decided to make the poncho cool again, I thank you.

I’m well aware that it looks like I may have brought part of my bed with me outside…and I’m 100% okay with that. I found this beauty of a poncho at Target when I was in Florida, and despite the 80 degree heat at the time, I had to have it.

On another note, a few of you commented on my last post about how amazing it is that I balance working full-time, blogging and part-time freelance work. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I love blogging and designing “stuff,” so it doesn’t feel like I’m always working. I should also mention that I really don’t watch a lot of TV. In fact, nobody in my household watches much TV. I have always thought about saving some money and cancelling it, but I feel like we would then miss it, although I recently read an article which explained 13 ways to watch TV for free so maybe we wouldn’t after all! Here’s one that really might shock you, though: I don’t watch Netflix! I know. Weird, right?

The truth is, I used to be addicted to certain shows, but as they went off the air or declined in quality, I never replaced them. Instead of watching TV, I spend my time on the computer, Instagram, and other forms of social media. Oh, and I kind of love the Snapchat “discover” channels. Does anyone else watch those?

    I love the wind and breeze your poncho is getting in these photos. I own a poncho as well, and it’s the most comfortable piece of outerwear.

    No Netflix and chill? That’s OK. I do watch those Snapchat Discover videos on occasion.

    I feel ya – maintaining a blog while working full time is hard sometimes but you always seem to do it so effortlessly! I guess cutting out TV time would help a lot!

    Target has had some awesome ponchos this fall and winter. I’ve been tempted to pick up a few, I just don’t know how much I would wear them and I want “the one” instead of a few different ones that I’m not in love with. Who knows what I’m actually looking for.

    I love a good poncho, and this one is SO cute Jackie! I don’t really watch that much TV either, but people don’t get it. I just use my time in other ways that are equally relaxing to me as TV is to some!

    You look great, Jackie! Wearable blanket is right! I love blanket scarves because they’re so cozy. Anything that makes it acceptable for me to wear a blanket and look stylish is ok in my book!
