Yes, I’m a little bit “addicted” to fashion and shopping. I’d call it a harmless addiction, really. No one gets hurt in any way from my addiction, and it’s not having a detrimental effect on my life. I just love the thrill I get from shopping, especially when it’s an item I’ve been eyeing for a while. No big deal!
The other day, I had to go downtown to drop off a few samples to a client, and it’s not my fault that there’s some great shopping in-between their office and the subway. It’s virtually impossible for me to be in that part of Toronto without stepping into a store or two.
Lo and behold, I went into Aritzia and just couldn’t leave empty-handed. This particular location is one of the best, and with the summer sale going on, I was tempted.
Look, I’m weak, okay?!
I’d been wanting a panama hat for a while and after a long day’s work, I convinced myself that I “earned” it.
The subway ride after that was a feeling of victory. A good meeting with a client and a new hat? I’ll chalk that up to a good day at work.
In other news, I’m still quite shocked about Robin Williams. I saw the news on Twitter and didn’t believe it until I read a few more tweets. So upsetting. RIP.
