As a Toronto-based fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger, I’m almost always discovering new clothing companies and beauty products. Since many of these companies gift their products to bloggers, it’s one of the obvious perks of the job. Of course, in an effort to keep my posts honest and informative, I only talk about products and companies that I actually like and use.
Last week, I received a few goodies that I knew I had to post about! Blossom Lounge, a cute boutique in Toronto’s Distillery District, was kind enough to send me a few of their current favourites from their selection of natural beauty products. Since I hadn’t heard of these products before, I figured that most of you hadn’t either. Scroll through to learn more:
Coal and Canary Candles
Coal and Canary’s candles are made in small batches and are hand-poured, as any good candle should be. They’re produced with the highest quality soy and vegetable wax blend and quality fragrance oils. Instead of a traditional “string” wick, these candles are made with a wide, wooden wick. This ensures the candle burns clean and free of smoke. I just wish you were able to smell these photos!
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish
Now…I’ll admit to being skeptical about this nail polish when I first saw it. Trust Fund Beauty’s nail polishes are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, Paraben-free, and GMO-free. For whatever reason, in my mind, that meant it wouldn’t be as good as the other nail polish that I’m used to wearing. I’ve admitted to being wrong before, so I’ll say it again. I was wrong. This nail polish is as good as any of the other salon brands out there. I’ve had it on for a few days now, and my nails are relatively free of chips. Also…the packaging is gorgeous.
Graydon Clinical Luxury Superfood Masque + Scrub
Okay, now these completely weirded me out when I first saw them. The scrub comes pre-proportioned in little gel-capsules, so they look like pills….but you do NOT ingest them. The scrub is free of chemicals, mineral oils, and artificial colours, so you can feel good about using it on your skin. I also wanted to note that it’s free of synthetic aromas, so it does smell a little strange. I wouldn’t say it smells “bad,” but it doesn’t smell “good,” if that makes sense. Most importantly though, the scrub itself left my skin feeling smooth and fresh. I think it would be a fun add-on to a gift!
All of these products can be purchased at Blossom Lounge. These products were sent to me for review, but this is not a sponsored post. I just really liked the products!
