“A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.”
Sunday is my day to get stuff done. Getting stuff done makes me happy.
Yesterday, I ran my weekly errands. I went to the grocery store, the drug store, filled my tank up with gas, painted my nails, made granola and got a workout in. I realize that none of these things are “exciting” by any stretch of the imagination, but that’s okay. It’s these simple things that help me prepare for another busy week ahead.
It was too cold this weekend to take outfit photos, but I still felt inspired pull out my camera and take a few photos.
Here’s some snap shots of my life, from Sunday February 1st 2015.
How did you spend your Sunday?
Amy Ann says
Great photos! I like the snapshot into your life. I try to get things done on Saturday so I can make it to church and relax on Sundays. Didn’t happen this weekend though.. I agree, it’s nice to feel productive.

Thanks Amy Ann! I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with my camera.
Some weekends, the whole “relaxation” thing just doesn’t happen…but it will be even better when it does!

That saying is so true. How you spend your Sunday does kind of set the stage for the upcoming week. I love a combination of productivity and relaxation on my Sundays. Love these pictures! Have a great week!

I love being productive and impressed you got a lot done. For some reason, Sundays tend to go by REALLY fast for me and I get 2 things done. I really like the idea that you took photos of things that inspired you (darn, winter!). I was planning to take outfit photos and there was a huge snow storm. Thought I could brave it, and it ended miserably! Stay warm chica!

Sundays go by too fast, so I try to cram in what I can.
Seriously…the snow has been brutal the last couple of days, so there was no way I was going outside for any longer than I needed to! Hope it’s cleared up in your neck of the woods by now <3

Great photos! Is that one of socks I see? Could you possibly share about how you organize them? It’s looks interesting!

I totally agree- a productive sunday is the best!!! I really need to paint my nails and that shot made me want some new nail polishes! xo, Biana – BlovedBoston

I’m kind of nail polish obsessed…but it’s fun to get a new shade or two in the mix!

These photos are amazing! I love the one of the oranges. I just recently purchased a decent camera and it’s so fun learning how to use it. This has given me a few things to work toward haha! You’re much better than I am 😛

That’s so kind of you to say, Alecz. I’m still working on my photography, and while I’ve come a LONG way from where I was, I still have a lot to learn. Honestly, a great resource is Pinterest! There’s so many great (and easy) tutorials out there 🙂

OK, I totally love all your photos! What you do on Sunday is what I do on Saturday. I love the feeling of getting things done — accomplishment for the win!

Gorgeous photos! looks like a beautiful Sunday. Running errands isn’t the most fun, but I always feel accomplished once everything is done. It’s just nice knowing you’ve taken care of what NEEDS to be done. Our Sunday was spent recovering from Saturday and while I did make it to the grocery store there was nothing else productive about the day.

Well… my Saturday was spent recovering from Friday, so I had no excuse but to get things done.

These photos have an amazing calming affect. I spent most of my Sunday working on calculus problems and watching one of my favorite shows. Overall it was a terrific day, and I think that helped me have a better Monday.

My photos must reflect the “zen” vibe I was striving for. Sundays were a great day to catch up on homework when I was in school 🙂

Depending on what we have going on, my sunday’s vary quite a bit. This weekend was rather slow, with being sick and the game day snow storm, everything happened just at home was lazy,….

All of your photos are so pretty!! My Sunday is similar to yours, feeling productive and checking off my to-do list before the week starts is relaxing for me and the ritual of doing those “exciting” things is oddly fun, lol.

There is something enjoyable about a productive day, isn’t there?
Sunday is typically a rest day in our household, although I do a little food prep for the week ahead. Seen as I’m home most of the day – being a stay at home mum – I get things gradually done throughout the week so the weekends can be spent more as family time.
Beautiful pictures!
🙂
Jackie says
I totally agree!
If I was a mom, I’d use the weekends differently than I do now. Family time would definitely be on the agenda 🙂
nancy @ adore to adorn says
aw this is lovely. the photos really tell a story there.
I actually like the concept of summing up a Sunday like this. I don’t typically do TOO much but after thinking about it, it’s my day of prep for the work week ahead. SO a lot does get done! haha

nancy

Thank you so much!! I don’t feel like any of these things are particularly exciting on their own, but I always feel so good to accomplish a lot of little things.

Your photography skills are amazing, Jackie!! And wow, that Sunday quote is soo true. Believe it or not, I’ve never heard that. I do try to accomplish things on Sundays, though!
