Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend like I did. For the second year in a row, I participated in the Annual Terry Fox Run with Matt’s family. While the main purpose of the run is to raise money for cancer research, the run itself is also a lot of fun. I was hoping all of my “training” at OrangeTheory would pay off this year – and I think it did. I completed 3 laps around the course, which was a total distance of ~9.5km. Granted, I took a short break between laps 2 and 3, but considering we did the first 6+km in about 32 minutes, it was necessary! Normally, I struggle with Endurance workouts, so running long distances without a break is especially challenging.
Despite September being halfway over, it’s been extremely warm the last few days. Even if I wanted to, it’s simply too hot to start wearing heavy sweaters and other fall pieces. Instead, I’m still wearing summer(ish) clothing…at least, for now.
In today’s post, I’m wearing a simple, casual late summer outfit, with pieces that can easily transition into fall. It won’t be long until I pack the shorts away for the season, but I can replicate the outfit with a pair of longer pants. (PS: If you’re looking to snag these shorts and keep them for next year, they’re on super sale!) Instead of a short sleeve t-shirt, I’ll wear something that’s super cozy…like this one!
What I’m Wearing
White T-shirt from Zara (Similar) | Hooded sweatshirt vest from Nordstrom Rack (Similar)
Shorts from Roots | Sunglasses from Ray-Ban | Black Sneakers from Keds x Kate Spade | Zippered Leather tote from Madewell

This is basically a look that you’ll probably catch me in most days in the summer haha! I love how effortlessly chic it is. That hoodie is my fave!

So nice that you can run long distances like that! I was always more of a sprinter and now that I can’t do it, I definitely miss it. I’m finally getting to where I can walk fast again, so I’ll take it…beats the past few years of feeling like a sloth. LOL! I love shorts like that with the drawstrings, they are about all I wear during the summer now. So darn comfortable! 🙂

It takes a LOT of work to get to that point, believe me! I’m in no way a natural athlete like other people I know. It is such a process and I see it all the time at OrangeTheory – both with myself and other people around me.
