Now that the holiday season is over, it’s not surprising that a lot of us are starting to come down with the ‘winter blahs.’ It’s inevitable at this time of year, especially for people like me, who happen to live in a cold climate.
This feeling can be attributed to many different factors, which can range from a lack of vitamin D, to missing the excitement of the holidays, to getting worn down by the cold. It’s also that point in the season when lot of us start feeling uninspired by our winter clothing.
Even though I love fall and winter fashion, I’ve been “over” the cold weather since November! The issue is, at this point in the season, I’m also feeling uninspired by my winter wardrobe. Sure, I could go out and buy a new sweater or two, but I don’t think that’s going to change how I feel. Sure, there’s some great deals to be had, but sifting through another picked over clearance rack isn’t exactly appealing. Besides, I’ve already got my sights set on new arrivals!
Don’t fret, ladies! There’s a way to fight this feeling that’s easier (and cheaper) than hopping on a plane headed south. How? Grab a couple of new accessories to refresh your wardrobe!
Accessories are fun, often inexpensive, and completely elevate your winter basics. It’s amazing what a new scarf, cape, statement necklace, or even a new handbag can do to your mood. I picked up this poncho and felt like it was the perfect accessory that I needed to give my winter wardrobe some new life and interest.
