This week has completely flown by, as most of them do. Time flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?
Yesterday, in addition to going to work and out for dinner, I attended a really great party after work, hosted by Motionball. I’ve been introduced to Motionball through work, but essentially, they’re a not-for-profit organization that builds awareness and raises funds for the Special Olympics Canada foundation. Yesterday’s event was the official kick off to their YELLOWCARD campaign, which is working towards eliminating the use of the ‘r-word.’ They aim to make young professionals aware of the fact that the word is offensive, and to eliminate it from their vocabulary. I’m guilty of using the word in the past, believe me!
This event was in the midst of the financial district, so I had to dress a little bit nicer than I would on some other work days, but it was humid and “misty,” so outfit photos were not in the cards.
Instead, today I wanted to share some photos I took the other day (when the weather cooperated).
Y’all know that I love my trusty denim jacket, but I only had one…until I saw this awesome hooded number at Old Navy. The sole fact that it was “different” because of the hood meant that I had to have it. Justification, baby!
What I’m Wearing:
Hooded Denim Jacket – Old Navy (Same)
Crochet Tank – Abercombie & Fitch (Similar in White)
Jeans – Gap (Similar)
Sneakers – Steve Madden (Same)
Clutch – Gap (Similar)
Necklace – Aldo (Similar)
Who’s excited that it’s almost the weekend?? *raises hand*
