I’m a self-proclaimed denim snob. Years of selling premium denim will do that to a girl.
Now that I’m not longer in the denim industry, my purchases are much fewer and further between. When I do buy jeans, I still often splurge, but sometimes, I don’t want to pay the big bucks.
I was recently shopping at Gap (since I’m basically there on a weekly basis), and I just fell in love with the wash on a particular pair of jeans…so I figured it just made sense to try them on. I loved the little bit of distressing, and the fact that there were darker undertones in the otherwise light wash. The best part? They were also the skimmer length…..and they were 40% off.
They may not be as buttery soft as some of my premium denim, but I’ve been wearing these jeans non-stop. If only “Jackie-the-Jeans-Snob” could see me now!
She also wouldn’t believe that I am still rocking my old-school vest I bought about 6 years ago at Gap. If you’re debating the purchase of a down vest, keep in mind that it’s a total investment piece and you should just take the plunge. I’m an enabler, okay? Deal with it 🙂
What I’m Wearing:
Puffer Vest – Gap (Newer version)
Button Down – J.Crew Factory, Men’s Section (Similar)
T-shirt – Brandy Melville (Same)
Jeans – Gap (Same)
Booties – Arturo Chiang via Hudson’s Bay (Similar)
Purse – Roots (Same)
What older pieces are you still wearing on a regular basis that you’d consider a good investment piece?
