Food and Sites: New York City

in Travel on 12/15/14

The past week has been extremely uneventful for me, because I spent the majority of the week at home sick. It was an unexpected wrench in my plans, but sometimes, you just can’t fight the fact that you need to rest.

Formulating proper sentences is something I struggle with when I’m not feeling well, so I wanted to share some of my favourite photos from my trip to New York last month.

I’ll let my photos handle the talking for today. I hope you like food photos (because I do)!

New York City

Chobani SoHo

NYC Coffee Shop

Sites of NYC

Georgetown Cupcakes - SoHo

Brunch at Chelsea Market NYC

Gansevoort Market, New York

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

Only in New York

Fresh Pizza, from New York City

Photos from last year’s trip are here and here.

Happy Monday!

    2. so much good food porn. i feel like whenever i go visit a city, 80% of the time is spent spending way too much money on restaurants and cafes. which im totally okay with.

Hope you are starting to feel better! You take some great photos. Good grief, why can’t we be more advanced in technology so that I can reach in and grab that yogurt and pizza?!

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

Now that these have been gifted, I can share these Now that these have been gifted, I can share these!

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!

I’m finishing up the last of the gifting projects and then it’s onto baking cookies! 💁🏼‍♀️

I *think* I know what I’ll be baking...but I’m having a tough time committing 🤪

Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁 Even though it hasn Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁

Even though it hasn’t been a “normal” Thanksgiving weekend, there is so much to be thankful for.

One (very) small thing I’m thankful for is that I took Matt’s advice on forgoing my usual butter-only pie crust recipe for one that includes shortening. I used the pumpkin pie recipe from @sallysbakeblog - including the mix of shortening and butter in the crust. I think it was my best pumpkin pie yet!
(The Turkey was fantastic too of course 😏)
