Something About That

Florals and Ruby Red Wedges

in Fashion, Outfit Post on 06/19/13

Waking up early for work is always a little bit easier when I know I have a fun new dress to wear. I’m sure just about all of you reading this can agree.

I have a bit of a Target addiction these days, which I blame on years of seeing other bloggers wearing all sorts of cool outfits that somehow incorporate find from Target. I’ll admit, I was always a bit skeptical as to how a store that so closely compares to Wal-Mart and Zellers (Canadians will know what that is) was so fashionable.

Even though I make somewhat frequent trips to the US for shopping, I never made it a priority to hit Target. After all, big box stores tend to stress me out and I passionately hate fluorescent lighting.

I wasn’t even thatย excited to make my first trip to a Canadian Target a couple of months ago. Naturally, it only took a matter of seconds after walking into the place that my opinion completely changed.ย As soon as I smelled the fresh Starbucks’ coffee brewing, I knew I was in for something great….or, dangerous.

Of course, there’s certain things at Target that will just never appeal to me, but I love going there for fun pieces that I can mix into my wardrobe for a season or two. I used to primarily check out H&M and Forever 21 for those cheap, fun, trendy pieces, but I’d rather shop at Target now because the experience is much more enjoyable.

I picked up this dress a little while ago and felt today was the perfect day for it to make it’s debut…with the red shoes I mentioned in this post. If you’re on the edge of your seat about whether or not I kept them both, I’ll fill you in. I only kept these red shoes. They’re not as comfortable as I thought, so they aren’t overly versatile.

Dress:ย Target

Cardigan: Urban Outfitters

Belt: Banana Republic

Shoes: Ralph Lauren via The Bay

Bag: Roots

Necklace: Vintage

Do you want to go to Target right now? I’ve been told I’m a bad influence…

I absolutely LOVE Target! Their clearance section is sometimes out of this world. I’ve found the most amazing skirts there for like $5 and $6. It’s like digging for buried treasure lol.

I love this outfit here, especially with the red shoes!

That’s basically the same thing that I say about Target. I’m surprised I didn’t say that in the post, because I always tell people that. Most think I’m a bit crazy, so I’m glad you “get” it!

Cute wedges!! I love Target. You can always find at least one cute item there. They’re shoes are my favorite, and I agree it’s definitely enjoyable and pleasant shopping there.

Thanks for the comment Jackie! I will most definitely be following your blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ I must say, I am definitely looking forward to my Canadian Target store opening – bloggers always post the cutest clothes from there. Too bad I have to wait until the winter, though at least it gives me something to look forward to.

Haha has to laugh at your Zellers comment! I remember that store! I’ve seen tons of bloggers rocking target finds but have yet to venture into the Canadian target.

    Your dress is cute!

Every once in a while, I find myself in a Target and I can’t stop myself from wanting to pick up at least 5 things from their women’s section. You have to be careful of quality though, but if you find something made of a sturdy fabric, it’ll be a great fashion steal.

Very cute dress! Target can be hit or miss but you can find some great trendy pieces for super cheap! It’s definitely dangerous to go in there often!
