Monday again! How did that happen? The weekend flew by, as it often does when you’re busy. What am I busy with? Well…I technically have three jobs, so that will keep you pretty busy. I have my “day job,” my blog, and my web design business. That might make me sound like a bit of a maniac, but I promise that I have a life outside of work.
From what I can tell, it seems like having multiple jobs or commitments has become the new normal. It’s really not as hard as it sounds to keep on top of everything, as long as you properly plan out your days and use your time wisely.
How I plan ahead for a busy day:
I plan ahead for work by mentally choosing what I’m going to wear the night before, and preparing my lunch and snacks in advance. This way, I make the most out of my mornings and get out the door as quickly as possible. Obviously, some nights I just don’t feel like making lunch, but that’s okay – I treat myself to Thai food or sushi on those days.
How to stay on top of blogging with a busy schedule:
Well…this is something that I’m still working on, but a lot of it has to do with planning. I like to make sure I always have photos/content ready ahead of time. I’ve even been getting a few Instagram-worthy photos ready in advance, which I can keep on hand for times when life doesn’t allow me to take “pretty pictures” but I still want something to post.
The weather was nice(ish) this weekend, so I made sure to get out there and snap a few photos. Of course, 2 minutes into my first shoot and I realized it wasn’t as nice out as I thought…but hey, winter sucks!
Why I love the UGG Classic Slim Boots:
I’d been itching to shoot a look that included my new UGG Kara Classic Slim boots because I’ve been wearing them constantly and hadn’t worn them on the blog yet.
I know not every loves the brand, but I’ve been rocking UGG boots for years now. I have a few pairs of the Classic Short, a pair of the Classic Tall and treated myself to these a few months ago (last seen here). It was a given that I’d be excited about the UGG Classic Slim collection, which came out just before the holidays! They’re as comfortable as all of the other styles I have, but they feel more sleek and stylish.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Button Down – Gap
Long-Sleeve Tee – Gap
Jeans – Current Elliot (Similar)
UGG Kara Classic Slim – c/o
Purse – Roots
Scarf – Madewell (on sale….and AMAZING)
Necklace – Foxy Originals – c/o
What are you best tips or tricks for managing multiple commitments in your life?

Personally, I don’t have anything against Uggs, it’s just that I don’t really have a need for them down here. Now, Madewell scarves, those I definitely have a little weakness for. They have amazing prints and are super soft. I love the color combo in yours!

That’s true – UGG’s are a staple for me, where it’s cold a significant part of the year!

Haha three jobs?! You crazy lady! I bet you’re kept SUPER busy, but that’s not always a bad thing. I always prefer busy to bored. This outfit is stellar. Love the dark plaid shirt and the necklace!

Well the fact that you don’t even look cold in this outfit is impressive! I think I wear that many layers or more on any given day here in LA. But honestly you make having those 3 jobs look pretty seamless! I need to work on juggling different hats more.

I love the flannel and scarf combo! I used to wear my Uggs a lot, but I left them at home when I went to college and now I just wear them when I’m there. Lovely look!

Ahh the joys of having a full-time job and being a blogger. I always prioritize my job first but I am trying to stay on top of my blogging commitments as well. Having backup instagram photos handy is a great idea!
Also, I love the print mixing with the scarf and your flannel!

Wow, that’s amazing how you’re able to balance all 3 with such grace; not at all easy to do! I agree, much of it has to do with planning ahead, which certainly makes everything that much easier! As for your outfit, I love the flannel shirt. I love the way you’ve styled it, creating a bit of a flannel jacket feel. I hope you’re having a wonderful day and thanks so much for the inspiration 🙂

I totally get it – I have four jobs and most weeks I work 7 out of 7 days. It’s exhausting but so worth it 🙂 Love this plaid look on you and I just adore that you’re wearing Uggs! Uggs are definitely THE most comfy shoes and I would die without a pair!
