No matter how many gift guides I come across, I still find it difficult to buy gifts!
I think the problem stems from the fact that most of us really don’t “need” anything. Of course, we all want stuff, but when you’re trying to buy for someone else, you can’t help but wonder if they would have already bought the item for themselves.
It’s for this reason that I stick to more basic gift ideas, (like scarves), because you can almost always guarantee the recipient will be excited to receive it. After all, who doesn’t want another scarf?
If you’re trying to buy someone a gift that’s a bit more unique this year, have you thought about tech accessories? There’s a ton of “techie” gifts out there and actually, Urban Outfitters is a gold mine for that type of stuff…but today, I’ve rounded up a few of my favourites that are focused on music – really cool speakers, headphones and even a record player. Headphones always seem to go down a treat as gifts, especially if they’re the best bone conduction headphones. Plus, boned headphones are much more comfortable as there’s nothing to force into the ear canal and cause irritation. If the recipient of your gift plays a particular instrument, you could always buy gifts based on that. For a guitar player you could purchase some quirky plucs, or for the drum player, a drum wrap to make the gift a little more personal. If you know the person wants to take up an instrument, you could even gift lessons to get them started! Although having said this it’s no secret that these days you can just about access anything online, even musicians these days use apps to trial their music. With so many youths using apps like garageband, it’s probably better to buy them the instrument themselves seeing as they will probably teach themselves how to play online! However, if you are looking for something more unique for your musician friend, you can try personalized gifts such as a Custom Spotify Code Plaque that can play music when you point your phone at the code. You can even purchase customized airpod cases that have their photos printed on them.
Just remember, whatever you gift, it should convey your emotions to your recipients.
What do you think of giving someone a fun new way to enjoy their music this holiday season?
