You know when the mood strikes and you just want to clean? I had that feeling the other day, so I took advantage of it and did a closet purge. Before long, I had a few bags of tops, dresses and jeans set aside to donate. After I reorganized the rest of my clothing, I realized that my denim collection looked a little bit…empty. It seemed like the perfect excuse to do a little bit of shopping, so I went to Jean Machine to find the perfect pair of jeans.
Shopping for denim isn’t always easy. Some would argue that it’s worse than bathing suit shopping. Personally, I love shopping for the perfect pair of jeans, but that’s because I know where and how to shop for them.
Last week, I went to Upper Canada Mall and went straight to Jean Machine. Jean Machine has a great selection of jeans, including Mavi, Guess, Silver, Yoga Jeans, and more. Just as important, they have a fabulous sales staff, who’s there to help you find the perfect pair of jeans. Jean Machine refers to their team as “Masters of Denim,” and their job is to provide one-on-one personal fittings, to ensure that each customer leaves with a pair of jeans they love. They have a “perfect pair promise”, which means they guarantee maximum comfort and the best possible fit, no matter what shape or size you are.
When I walked into the store, I was promptly greeted by Olivia. She was friendly and enthusiastic and after explaining what I was looking for, I felt like she “got me.” She also knew my size before I told her. Impressive! After a quick chat, Olivia started pulling jeans for me to try on. I worked in a similar role when I was in University, so I could tell she knew what she was talking about. As I tried on the jeans, Olivia was there to offer her opinion about the fit. And no, she didn’t tell me every single pair looked amazing (because they didn’t). She gained my trust this way, which is important when you’re shopping for the perfect pair of jeans. The staff at Jean Machine will tell you what works and what doesn’t, which is so important.
After trying on many pairs of jeans, I ended up leaving with the Guess Power Curvy Max Stretch jeans in Memory Wash. The curvy fit has a bit more room in the thigh and bum area, which I need. I chose them because they fit well, I loved the wash, and they’re so comfortable that they feel like leggings. Jean Machine also has cute tops and accessories…so I left with more than just jeans. Sorry, not sorry!
I know that it’s intimidating to walk into a store like Jean Machine, where there’s seemingly endless pairs of jeans to choose from. The people who work there know their stuff and genuinely want to help. Let them!
*Thank you to Jean Machine for partnering with me on this post. As always, I only partner with brands that I truly love, and all opinions are my own*
