Anyone who knows my in “real life,” knows that I’m a worrier and that I put too much pressure on myself. In some cases, this is actually quite productive, like when I set goals for myself (as mentioned here), but in other ways, it’s silly.
What do I mean when I say my worries are silly? Well, sometimes, I literally worry about what I’m going to wear. Sounds crazy, I know. Getting dressed is a simple enough task, and on most days, I really love the outfits I come up with. I feel good about my outfits because I’m confident in how I put them together.
However, as soon as I’m getting dressed for an event of any kind that’s a little bit out of the ordinary, like a conference of 200+ fashion and beauty bloggers, or even a day in NYC… I over-think.
When I was packing for my trip a few weeks ago, I knew that there’d be a day or two that I’d venture into Manhattan via the NYC Subway. Because of this, I strategically over-packed. My friend thought I was crazy for bringing my big suitcase for the weekend, but I felt like I was just preparing for any situation, or weather event. I wanted to look cool, trendy, and chic on my time in the city, and wanted to have multiple options.
You can’t ever be too prepared.
A big “thanks” to my friend Dara for snapping these photos!
