Emily Valentine Cochin Necklace with Boyfriend Jeans and a Blanket Scarf

Guys. It’s freezing outside. Again!

I realize that I sound a bit like a broken record, because I’m constantly complaining about winter, but I can’t help myself. After all, we’re getting towards the end of February, and it’s been a rough one. February 2015 is (un)officially the coldest month on record in Toronto. It’s no wonder that I’m “over it!”

I’ve always been a warm weather girl, but since I’ve become a fashion blogger, my distaste of the cold weather has only grown. Winter and outfit photos aren’t exactly a match made in heaven (unless you’re sharing a look like this).

Every now and then, I’ll venture outside for a few minutes to take some photos. After all, I recently discovered Emily Valentine Jewelry, and I had to share! Aside from wanting to own everything in the collection, I love that everything is hand crafted here in Toronto. Her jewelry is all made with gorgeous combinations of natural stones and crystals, as well as mixed-metals. Think, “statement,” since each piece in the line is unique and edgy. Since receiving one of the necklaces from her new collection a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been wearing it almost daily.

I’d love to say that a gorgeous statement necklace can help us fight the winter blahs, but that’s probably not true. That said, it really cheered me up when my necklace arrived. Nothing some retail therapy can’t fix, right?

I’ve heard about all of the snow you guys have been getting. I’d imagine it’s worse, just because you’re not as prepared for it as us.

You make the snow look good girl! We’ve had an unusually warm winter here in Calgary.. it’s weird! I just know it won’t last, we will definately get winter 2.0 in April probs. Also, thanks for always commenting on my blog girl.. I appreciate it! 🙂

Yeah, I’ve heard about the warm weather out west….but I’ve also seen your crazy snowstorms that pop up super early or late in the season.

And of course – I love your blog!! 🙂

That is a great blanket scarf – can’t believe how many layers you have to wear (you poor freezing fashionista!) to stay warm! Cool necklace and jeans too 🙂

The layers are essential, but I do have more fun putting outfits together when more elements are involved. At least, that’s how I try to convince myself that winter in Canada isn’t all bad 😉

Okay, so KC had ONE warm 50-degree day, and now we’re back in the single digits. I shouldn’t complain, because it’s better than nothing- but the spring tease is uncool! Ha!

I love this look, and that necklace is gorgeous! I have a weakness for gold jewelry. 🙂
