May is one of my favourite months of the entire year. Here in Toronto, May is typically when the weather starts to warm up. With the warm weather comes the beginning of patio season, softball season (yay!) and cottage season. Ultimately, there’s so much more to do in and around the city when it’s nice outside!
It feels like I just blinked and May is almost half way over. They say time flies when you’re having fun and I think that’s why the spring and summer flies by so quickly. It’s important to take the time to appreciate the beauty in everyday, every season, and life in general. Before we know it, the leaves will be changing!
Granted, sometimes it isn’t just your own perception. There are some aspects of the season that are only here for a short time, like the cherry blossoms. I went to see some of the cherry blossoms at the beginning of the season, but I was glad that I was also able to see the blossoms at their peak. As you can tell from the photos, I wasn’t the only one trying to make the most of the season that day. It was very crowded! Even though I didn’t love the dozens of people in the background of every shot, I think it’s pretty incredible that so many people get excited about seeing the blossoms, too.
