Denim with white is one of my go-to colour combinations for spring and summer. Actually, I think I’m drawn to denim with white anytime of the year. It’s a combo that always feels bright and fresh. Most of the time, I opt for a cardigan, but lately, I’ve been drawn to the classic white button down. I love to wear it open, for a more casual look and feel.
In the past, I haven’t been the biggest fan of classic white button down tops. In my mind, white button downs are rough, boxy and overall unflattering. I just assumed that I wasn’t a fan of that style. A few weeks ago, I spotted this number at Aritzia and decided to try it on. I was instantly sold. It not only fit well, but it drapes perfectly and feels amazing! I’ve already worn it multiple times. You can wear it buttoned up and tucked into a pair of trousers for work, or wear it unbuttoned with distressed jeans for a more casual weekend look. I thought it would be fun to add a pair of peep toe sandals with this look. It was also a reminder to myself that I needed to paint my toes. I’ve since taken care of that!
