I wake up pretty early for work each morning, and we all know that’s not always easy to do.
The obvious way to make waking up early a little bit less painful is to go to bed earlier. Common sense at it’s finest. This issue for many of us (especially those who work full time jobs, work out, make dinner, blog, have kids, play sports, etc), is that it’s easier said than done. We all have so much to do, and not enough hours in the day!
Every morning, I regret my decision to go to bed later than I should the night before. I try to tell myself that I need to remember that feeling when the evening does roll around, as motivation to get under those covers at a reasonable time. It just never happens!
I was talking to my friend about this the other day as she was feeling like just as much of a zombie as I was. She suggested that I bought a new bed, in the hope that it would encourage me to go to bed earlier. Apparently that’s a tactic which works well with kids. I must admit, I’m not a big fan of the look of my bed so I did take a look online on websites like myfdb.com (All of the bed frames list here). I found some that I liked, but my concern was that this would be counterproductive… as I’d only want to stay in bed more in the morning!
I guess you just can’t win.
Today was extra difficult to wake up, because I finally noticed something different. The sun hadn’t even come up yet!
I’ve noticed the days getting shorter in the evenings, but now it’s happening in the morning, too. Another sure sign of the official start of fall, right on the horizon. Yikes.
