Although I’m passionate about warm weather, summer activities and bright colours, I live in Canada, so winter is a fact of life.
Don’t get me wrong, our summers are absolutely gorgeous up here, and by the time June and July roll around each year, the pain you experience from simply opening your front door in the winter are nothing but a distant memory.
Spring is one of my favourite seasons, next to summer of course. I love the fact that the colder months are far behind us, as well as the sheer level of excitement that comes from the ‘firsts’ of spring: Hearing the sound of robins chirping, getting closer to softball season (YAY!), and of course, re-discovering summer clothes that have been completely forgotten about.
I recently transitioned my closet over from winter to spring, even though the warmer temperatures are in no real hurry to show up this year. In the outfit I’m wearing below, I was able to keep warm on a cool day, while rocking a spring colour. I’d never wear a colour this bright in the dead of winter, though I probably should.
