I’ve been down in Florida for just under a week, but the winter weather already seems a little bit like a distant memory. Then again, my arms and back are still sore from all of the shovelling I did before I left snowy Toronto. These photos are a stark reminder that the winter season has only just begun. It’s hard to forget how cold we were when we shot these photos during Rebeca of Wishbone and Clover‘s birthday brunch. Brunch felt like the perfect occasion to wear this beautiful cable knit sweater with tiered flare sleeves. It also felt like the perfect occasion to shoot some outfit photos!
I was excited when I spotted this tiered flare sleeve sweater on the Chicwish website earlier this month. The sweater not only looked cozy, but the exaggerated sleeves were calling my name. I placed the order, thinking that maybe I’d receive it at some point in January. To my surprise, the package arrived a few days later.
My first instinct was to wear the sweater with a pair of jeans and over the knee boots, but since it’s the holidays, I went with a trouser-style pant instead. You know, taking my own advice and stuff.
If you’re thinking of buying a tiered flare sleeve sweater, there is something you should know. It’s not easy to go out for a family-style meal! During brunch, I was so worried that my sweater would knock something off the table, or land in someone else’s food. I did manage to get through the meal without ruining my sweater (or anyone’s meal), so it was all good.
