The most 2020 way to start a post: “this year looked a little different...” 🤪

...but it’s true!!

For as long as @woodley.matt and I have been together (and long before I’ve been in the picture!) we’ve gone out to Belleville and joined his family, the Woodley Walkers, for the annual Terry Fox run.

This year, like almost all events, it went virtual. Truth be told, I was NOT feeling it this morning. I guess it was just the sadness of “another thing we can’t do”, but we did it!!

We started together and ran our separate paces as we always do, but matt got a full greeting when he got back! 🥰 My pace was much slower, but I still crushed over 5 miles (over 8k!)

Today has been a good day! 👍🏻

I woke up early because I was excited about work this week. (If you know me from work, just wait until Wednesday!!!!!!!)

I pushed myself and did a workout this morning (something I’ve been struggling with the l last couple weeks).

I did my hair and makeup - including my extensions.

And of course, I took a selfie...and then took another with @its.miller.potcake.time because I can’t help myself. He doesn’t look as enthused as me, but he sure looks cute!😅

Our neighbour at the new house told Matt about @strawberrycreekfarmmarket and I’m so glad he did. It’s around the corner and they carry beautiful local produce and other goodies!! Apparently their sweet corn is the best. We’ll see about that!

(But no, we aren’t living in the new house yet. Still waiting on Reno’s 🙃)

Did I do most of the work? No. Not by a long shot.

But I did use a sledge hammer and a crow bar for the first time, so that was pretty neat 😏
