When I was in NYC last week, I couldn’t help but do some shopping. After all, it’s basically a crime to spend time in that city as a self-deemed shopaholic and not shop!
On one of my days away, I spent several hours wandering around SOHO. The shopping is obviously great there, but it’s also such a cool neighbourhood to be in. When I’m in the area, I love wandering the streets, spending time in hipster coffee shops and window shopping at some of the gorgeous high end boutiques. Since the shopping in the area isn’t all high end, I was able to come back with some goodies. I had a lot of fun shopping at Madewell, especially since it’s a store that I don’t often get to visit in person.
The thing I noticed afterwards is that most of what I bought is black, grey, or navy. Lately, I’m just drawn to these more neutral colours, and it’s been pretty evident in what I’ve been pinning.
There are days that I like to spice things up with rich, fall hues, such as burgundy. That’s why, like last year, I’ve been wearing this cardigan a lot.
It’s basically the perfect cardigan. It’s cozy, warm, has pockets…and it’s burgundy.
What I’m Wearing:
Cardigan – Aritzia (Similar)
T-shirt – Alternative Apparel (Same)
Jeans – Joe’s Jeans (Similar)
Purse – Olivia + Joy via Hudson’s Bay (Same)
Scarf – Gap (Same)
Boots – Franco Sarto via Marshall’s (Similar)
What sorts of colours are you wearing a lot of this fall?

Oh, that cardigan is so pretty, and I LOVE your boots! The little pop of pattern is great. I’ve been really drawn to black, orange, red, and yellow this season; I have never been a good seasonal dresser, but this year I’ve been focusing more on actual fall colors, and it’s made me be more creative.
