The Best Straw Bags For Summer ’17

best straw bags for summer

Happy Friday! What are your plans for the weekend? I’m heading on a little getaway, just a couple hours outside of town, to go to a wedding. Obviously, I’m excited about the wedding because it’s an excuse to have fun, get dressed up and re-wear these sparkly heels. Even though I’m excited, I’m also a bit nervous for this wedding. Why? Because at the wedding, I’ll be meeting my boyfriend’s entire family…for the first time.

Um, stressful much?! Wish me luck! 🙂

Anyhow…onto what today’s post is actually about: the best straw bags. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been crushing hard on straw bags. They’re one of summer ’17’s must-have items (at least, according to my Instagram feed).

Aside from the fact that there are countless adorable options to choose from, I love straw bags because they look and feel like summer. They’re also (typically) a lot more affordable than leather bags, which is a nice bonus. Straw bags are the perfect accessory to add to a simple summer outfit like this one. There are so many adorable options available at Shopbop, Banana Republic, J.Crew and Nordstrom (to name a few). If you’re on the hunt for a straw bag, I’m here to help. That’s right, I’ve rounded up 12 of the best straw bags for summer!

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!

I’m finishing up the last of the gifting projects and then it’s onto baking cookies! 💁🏼‍♀️

I *think* I know what I’ll be baking...but I’m having a tough time committing 🤪

I love how these little toques (aka: beanies) turned out. I also had a couple extras in a different yarn, so I added string and threw them on the tree!

Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁 Even though it hasn Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁

Even though it hasn’t been a “normal” Thanksgiving weekend, there is so much to be thankful for.

One (very) small thing I’m thankful for is that I took Matt’s advice on forgoing my usual butter-only pie crust recipe for one that includes shortening. I used the pumpkin pie recipe from @sallysbakeblog - including the mix of shortening and butter in the crust. I think it was my best pumpkin pie yet!
(The Turkey was fantastic too of course 😏)
