I don’t think I’ll ever really accept the winter and all the comes with it, but at least I’ve stopped living in denial.
Somehow, I’ve gone almost my entire adult life so far without owning a proper pair of winter boots. These were my boot of choice on very snowy days, but I really only wore them a few times in a year.
The only way it would seem even remotely acceptable to go without snow boots in Toronto, Canada is if you drive to work and park underground. I, on the other hand, have a much more complicated commute, which includes a 10 minute outdoor walk to and from the subway.
Now, we can all sit here and wonder how I made it all of these years without wrecking my shoes in the winter (seriously, anyone that knows me knows that I am insane when it comes to keeping my boots clean), or we can check out today’s outfit. You’ll notice that I’m finally wearing snow boots!
These boots were definitely one of the best investments I’ve made this season. I’ve worn them every day since I bought them. Seriously. At least I’ve managed to go ahead and find warm boots in winter season now, haha!
I usually bring another pair of shoes or boots and change when I get to work, but I figured they looked good with this outfit.
I bought this plaid top when I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago. I was on the hunt for a red flannel button down for a while, and didn’t find anything that I was in love with. I ended up finding this one in the men’s section of the J Crew factory store. It was an XS and the only one left, so it was basically just waiting for me to come into the store and give it a home!
