Sometimes, I wish that I was a little bit more adventurous. I love trying new food and going to new places (sort of), but I’m just a girl who loves her routine.
This is something that I’m working on changing, but change is a gradual thing, isn’t it? That said, the way that I’m trying to change this is by doing more, if that makes any sense.
I have an example that I can’t share yet (it’s exciting, I promise!!), but another example that I can share is that I’ve signed up for a Graphic Design course at a local community college, starting this fall. It’s one class, once a week, but this is an area that I’ve been interested in for a while, so I figured, why not? In addition to learning a ton of new skills, I’ll also meet a bunch of new people. Nerve-racking for sure, but exciting.
Even though I’m not overly adventurous I tend to be a lot more open when it comes to fashion. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ll know that I love trying out trends (like here and here).
Most recently, I decided to get aboard the crop top train, even though I’m way too insecure to walk around, flaunting my midriff. I figured, there had to be a way to modify the crop top enough to feel comfortable to wear one in public.
I’ve been experimenting a little bit, and so far, my favourite way to wear crop tops is with a bit of layering. This way, you still reveal a bit of skin, but can feel covered up at the same time.
When paired with a skirt and my trusty cargo vest, I was set!
Crop Top – Brandy Melville (Similar) // Skirt – H&M (Similar) // Vest – Old Navy (Same)
Sunglasses – Aldo (Same) // Shoes – Wish Bone via Brown’s (Similar) // Bag – Gap (Similar)
Necklace – Crafts&Love (Same)
Okay, I’ve got to know – what do you think of crop tops?
