The 2017 Father’s Day Gift Guide

in Shopping on 06/08/17

I’m sure you’re aware that Father’s Day is next weekend. Yes, it has come around very quickly! Have you managed to get your fathers day gifts yet? If not, I totally get it. I haven’t bought my dad’s gift yet either. It can be really difficult to shop for the men in our lives; especially our dads.
Coming up with a thoughtful, creative, meaningful gift for Father’s Day can be tricky, but it’s totally do-able! When it comes to gifts for men, websites like Coolest Gadgets show you what gear to buy. They know which gear is worth spending money on and which isn’t. However, it is ultimately up to you what present you buy for your dad, so be sure to find the perfect present for him. And don’t worry, whilst we have included a pair of socks (it was so tempting to go down the custom photo socks route, trust me!), there’e other ideas below too.
To help make your gift hunt easier this year, I’ve scoured all over the internet before settling down to a longer scroll through Amazon.ca to create a 2017 Father’s Day Gift Guide. Keep scrolling to see my favourite picks…

2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all r 2020 has without a doubt been a year we will all remember. It’s been a big rollercoaster, but there’s no one else I’d rather ride it with than @woodley.matt 🥰

We’ve endured so.many.challenges this year...but we’ve also had some of the best and most exciting moments of our lives this year.

I still can’t believe we bought a house, got engaged AND got a puppy this year (all within a month)! 🤯

Nobody knows what 2021 will bring, but what we do know is, it will start the same way 2020 ended: at home.

I also know we will finally be finishing and moving into our new home in early 2021, and I CANNOT WAIT!! As for wedding plans...ehh, it’s a little tricky to plan these days, so we’ll cross that bridge a little later 😜

Wishing you all a safe and happy new year at home! 🥳 (which I’m totally okay with - I’m a 👵🏻 anyways)

Now that these have been gifted, I can share these Now that these have been gifted, I can share these!

I picked up knitting needles for the first time in 10+ years (maybe more?!) at the start of the pandemic. I bought a DIY unicorn kit and it took me months before I got around to finishing it. Still, I enjoyed it.

So, this year, I thought it would be fun to knit up a few gifts for Christmas presents.

My next project? I’m going to attempt to knit myself a cardigan. 🤭😲🤗

Christmas 2020 - like many things this year, not “normal,” but we made plenty of memories.

We had a low-key Christmas morning, filled with Bailey’s coffee, Miller snuggles (and weird facial expressions) and cinnamon buns. We finished off the day with a Jewish Christmas dinner: Chinese take out!

I’m finishing up the last of the gifting projects and then it’s onto baking cookies! 💁🏼‍♀️

I *think* I know what I’ll be baking...but I’m having a tough time committing 🤪

I love how these little toques (aka: beanies) turned out. I also had a couple extras in a different yarn, so I added string and threw them on the tree!

Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁 Even though it hasn Happy thanksgiving!! 🍂🍁

Even though it hasn’t been a “normal” Thanksgiving weekend, there is so much to be thankful for.

One (very) small thing I’m thankful for is that I took Matt’s advice on forgoing my usual butter-only pie crust recipe for one that includes shortening. I used the pumpkin pie recipe from @sallysbakeblog - including the mix of shortening and butter in the crust. I think it was my best pumpkin pie yet!
(The Turkey was fantastic too of course 😏)
